The company has also
pioneered a new technique to access the evanescent field of the fiber, which can
be used to Asymmetrise Fiber making them Vectorally Sensitive. FiberLogix has
been awarded a UK Department of Trade and Industry “SMART
Award” to develop this technology further which uses a mature semiconductor
processing technique to produce highly controllable side access-fiber substrate.
Once these substrates are created, a vast range of passive components and
sensors can be developed. These substrates can provide the basic building blocks
for a range of Passive Components, single or multi channels, and Point or
Distributed Sensors with complex functionalities. The Patented Technology offers
a number of benefits like Low Insertion Loss, Highly Controllable depth and
surface profile, compact size, wide band operation and low cost. |
